Natural Masham Wool Handspun Yarn
Masham sheep originated in northern England and are the result of a Teeswater ram and either a Dalesbred or a Swaledale ewe. This yarn is 100% wool, the gray is the natural coloring. This yarn is soft enough to wear against the skin but has a more "natural wool" feel to it than the popular merino wool. If you love working with natural fibers, you'll love this yarn! Spun on my Kromski spinning wheel into a 3 ply (Navajo plied) bulky weight yarn with an average of 7 WPI. The 3 ply make this yarn more solid than some other handspun, perfect for something that will get lots of wear like some fingerless gloves!
